After a six game winning streak, the Brahmas fell just short last night as they lost to the Shorthorns 37-27.

JV Girls Basketball

The JV Girls Basketball Team defeated Columbus on Monday night 24-22. Kaneesha Smith lead all scorers with 8 pts, while Barbie Wright had 7 and Ashley Dusek 5 pts. Kylie Horelica was top rebounder for the Brahmarettes.

On Tuesday night the girls defeated Louise 40-16. Kylie Horelica and Kaneesha Smith both scored 7 pts. Barbie Wright, Katelyn Walters and Miranda Lehmann scored 6 pts. And Amanda Boettcher scored 4 pts. Kori Slanina, Kylie Horelica and Barbie Wright played strong defensively for the Brahmarettes.

The girls will resume play after the Thanksgiving Holiday.  Their record is 5-1 on the season.

Send-off for Brahmas!!

There will be a send-off on Friday at 3:15 pm. to send the Brahmas off to beat Schulenburg!  Spread the word and see the Brahmas off before heading out to the game!!  The send-off is by field house where team loads the bus for the game!!!

Freshmen Girls Basketball

The East Bernard freshmen girls basketball team tied for 1st place in our tournament this past weekend.  They defeated Rice 31-6, Needville 27-9, Bellville 32-29.

Congratulations Cross Country

Congratulations to Coach Susie Walters and all the Cross Country runners on another great showing at the State cross country meet Saturday, and on another great season. Super Job!  The boy's team placed second and the girl's team placed sixth!

Eli Young Band coming to EBISD!

The EB Cheerleaders participated in this year's 93Q Gridiron Invasion, which was a competition between various Houston-area high schools. The cheer squads of each school visited 93Q during the morning show and performed a cheer. The visits were scheduled over a period of time and once every squad had a chance to show the listeners their spirit, the voting was opened on the 93Q website.

JV Girls Basketball vs. Bellville

The JV Girls Basketball Team defeated Bellville in their first game of the season by a score of 50-24. Kaneesha Smith led the way in scoring with 18 pts. while Kylie Horelica had 12 pts. Ashely Dusek and Miranda Lehmann both chipped in 4 pts. while Brandy Babin had one 3 pointer. The girls travel to Needville on Tuesday and host their own tournament next Thursday and Saturday.

Cross Country Headed to State!

We want to send out a big congratulations to our cross country teams.  Regional Champion Boys' team and Regional Runner-up Girls' team.  These athletes will be running this Saturday, 11/13/2010, in Round Rock @ Old Settlers Park.  We will be having a send off for the cross country athletes on Friday between 10:00 and 10:30 a.m. Come out and send off our runners, and make the drive to Round Rock to cheer them on.

Project Graduation Meeting!
