Eli Young Band coming to EBISD!

The EB Cheerleaders participated in this year's 93Q Gridiron Invasion, which was a competition between various Houston-area high schools. The cheer squads of each school visited 93Q during the morning show and performed a cheer. The visits were scheduled over a period of time and once every squad had a chance to show the listeners their spirit, the voting was opened on the 93Q website.
Listeners could vote as many times as they liked and the East Bernard listeners must have done just that because their votes along with the votes from the other schools were enough to crash the servers. When all the votes were cast and counted, East Bernard brought home the prize...a free concert from the Eli Young Band!

The following quote was taken directly from the 93Q website:

"We talked with Mike Eli of the Eli Young Band. They're playing our Gridiron Invasion concert at our winning school. So, where are they playing? Congratulations to The Brahmas of East Bernard High School as they won the online voting in a landslide to become our 2010 winners."

Here is an e-mail Cathy Kovar sent to the district:

"THANK YOU! Everyone that voted for us shares this great honor with the EBHS Cheerleaders! Just wanted to let you know that I do not yet have any of the details, when, where, how, who..... etc... We will get all the info to you as soon as we know something! What a great way to send our Cross Country teams off today and cheer our Brahma football in Edna tonight! We are ALL champions!!!"
