Last night the Brahmas hosted Van Vleck for their second district game. The Jv team was down 8-5 going into the bottom of the last inning and rallied to win the game 9-8. Providing hits at the plate was Caydan Hall with 2 hits, 2 runs, and an RBI. Kolby Townsend had 2 hits, 2 RBI's, and a run. Weston Swoboda had 2 hits, 2 RBI's, and a run (one hit was the game winning double). Keith Atkinson had a triple, an RBI, and a run. Blake Jedlicka had a double, Raul Tavares added a single, Tyler Hunter had an RBI, and Cole Polak had a single and a run scored. Also scoring runs for the Brahmas was Blake Walters, Kameron Matthews, and Tyler Hunter. The Jv team is now 2-0 in district and 5-2 on the season.
In the varsity game, the Brahmas racked up 11 hits but lost by a final score of 16-11. Leading the Brahmas at the plate was Reagan Whitley, Hunter Goudeau, Chris Murrile, and Payton Peloquin who had two hits each. Also adding to the hit parade was Carson Little, Brennan Peloquin, and Dallas Novicke. The varsity is now 1-1 in district and 4-4 on the season.
Both teams will travel to Hitchcock on Friday, with Jv set to begin at 4:30.
