East Bernard Brahmarettes Grabs Lead
In Fifth Inning For Victory Over Rice Consolidated
East Bernard Brahmarettes defeated Rice Consolidated 8-2 on
Friday after taking the lead late in the game. East Bernard Brahmarettes
trailed 2-1 in the top of the fifth inning when Morgan Whitley homered off of
#36, driving in two runs.
East Bernard Brahmarettes captured the lead in the first
inning. Kristin Kieler drove in one when she doubled in the first inning.
Rice Consolidated knotted the game up at one in the bottom
of the second inning. An error scored one run for Rice Consolidated.
Katie Sulak earned the win for East Bernard Brahmarettes.
She pitched seven innings, allowing two runs, three hits, and striking out 12.
East Bernard Brahmarettes collected 12 hits. A.J. Navarro,
Kieler, Paige Nixon, and Cheslee Karasek each collected multiple hits for East
Bernard Brahmarettes. Karasek, Nixon, Kieler, and Navarro each managed two hits
to lead East Bernard Brahmarettes.
#21 went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Rice Consolidated in
hits. Rice Consolidated didn't commit a single error in the field. #10 had nine
chances in the field, the most on the team.
