The East Bernard Brahmas defeated the Brazos Cougars last
night by a score of 6-3 to improve to 3-0 in district play. Leading the charge
for the Brahmas at the plate was Layton Swoboda with 3 hits and 2 RBI’s, Will
Anderson with 2 hits and an RBI, Stephen Castillo with a hit and two RBI’s.
Braden Janecek, Cody Lehmann, Sabby Muniz and Jared Brantly each added a hit a
piece. On the mound the Brahmas were led by Cody Lehmann who allowed no Earned
Runs over 6 innings while striking out 10 cougars.
The JV Baseball team lost a close game 7-6 against the
cougars. The Brahmas found themselves down 4 runs in the last inning and
battled back but couldn’t muster enough to tie the game. The loss brings their
district record to 2-1. Both teams will be back in action at home on Friday
against Hitchcock.
