Exciting and spectacular music was made this weekend with Junior High Bands and in East Bernard fashion we came back with hardware showing we are indeed champions.
Friday, we hosted Junior High Solo & Ensemble and 30 students earned 1st division honors on solos. We had 1 ensemble composed of 8th grade percussion students and they also earned 1st division honors. Eight students came away with 2nd division medals as well. So GO JUNIOR HIGH BAND!
On Saturday the 7th & 8th grade band went to New Braunsfels to compete in the Schlitterbahn Soundwaves Music Festival. There were 3 separate divisions for bands Class C, 2A, and 3A-6A. The Jr. High Band came away with a SUPERIOR First Division rating and out of the 3 Class C Bands earned the Best in Class C trophy!
It was a great weekend for our Jr. High Students and their directors. If you see a band member be sure to congratulate them!
