Last night the East Bernard JV Football team played host to
the Houston Christian Mustangs. The Brahmas came away with a dominating 44-0
victory to even their season record to 1-1. Scoring for the Brahmas was Zachary
Gohlke with 3 touchdowns and a 2 point conversion. Will Anderson with a
touchdown on the ground and a 99 yard fumble recovery for a touchdown, while
Trey Schmidt added a long touchdown run. Thomas Long ran in a 2 point
conversion, and Bradley Jasek went a perfect 2-2 in PAT's. The Brahma defense
created two fumbles; one by Thomas Long and the other by Braden Janecek. The
Brahma Defense also came through with a goaline stand in the 4th quarter to
preserve the shutout for the home team. Overall, it was a great team win and we
thank you for all your support. The JV will be back in action next Thursday
September, 11 at Yoakum. - Coach J Sapp
