EBISD WEATHER INFO

Good afternoon,

Mr. Grigar and I just returned from the Emergency Management meeting of the county and city officials.  Here is a summary:

1.  EBISD will have a regular school schedule today (Monday, 4/18).

2.  EBISD will have a regular school schedule tomorrow (Tuesday, 4/19).

3.  A letter will go home today with all elementary students advising parents that if conditions change overnight, notifications of school delays or closings will be made by 6:30 a.m.  Cancellations or delayed start information will be available on KULP (1390 AM) radio, Channel 2 news, EBISD Facebook/Twitter page, and/or EBISD webpage. Faculty will be notified through RemindMe.

4.  Our transportation department has recently driven all of the routes to verify that the gravel roads and low-lying roads will be safe for bus travel at the end of the day (Monday).
5.  Our transportation department and/or local authorities will start checking roads early in the morning before bus routes run to verify road safety conditions.

The main concern for East Bernard will be the cresting rivers and creeks in the days ahead. As we receive updates on that timeline and flood amounts we will pass it on to you all. --Courtney Hudgins, Superintendent
