Mr. Grigar and I have been in town since 4am meeting with local authorities and assessing the current and future situation. Although we have a couple of areas in the district that are experiencing rising water and road closures evacuation, majority of the district is OK. Our purpose today is to function as normal as possible and provide a safe place for kids. EBISD is sympathetic to those families dealing with the flooding and realize some students will be absent today and those students will be held harmless. As the day progresses, if parents need to take their child(ren) home, please come by the appropriate campus office and sign them out. For staff that cannot make it in, please be in touch with your campus principal. We will keep you posted on the EBISD webpage and will notify parents via school messenger if we have to release early or make alternate transportation plans.
