EBHS CC St. Thomas Episcopal Invitational at Willow Waterhole Results



The Boys and Girls CC teams competed in the St. Thomas Episcopal Invitational at Willow Waterhole this past Saturday. The Meet got off to a rainy and wet start with the first race delayed due to heavy rain and lightening. The runners got to compete on a wet, muddy, and slick course once the lightening cleared off and the races started. The girls competed first with Madison Muzik claiming the top spot followed by Aracely Acevedo in 6th, Emma Alexander in 12th, and Samatha Rabius in 14th to all earn medalist honors. Alejandra Avila finished in 18th to complete the team scoring for East Bernard. Caitly Fuechec finished 23rd, Kimabll Swiger 24th, Libby hancock in 27th, Alyssa Schulte in 29th, Sophie Morrow in 30th, and Maria Avila in 31st with 122 girls competing in the race. In the team competition, East bernard finished 2nd with 48 points. Kincaid claimed the team title by 9 points finishing with a point total of 39 points and Needville in 3rd with 66 points. there were 15 team competing in the race. In the Varsity boys race, Bo badger was the first EB finisher coming in 4th overall, followed by Mason Crist in 9th to both earn medalist honors. Kolby Townsend finished in 16th place, Barrett Whitley in 37th, Ethan Rejsek in 45th to complete the team scoring. Austin Draper finished in 53rd, Jackson Barta in 60th, and Cade Gravonovic in 86th place with 137 runners competing in the race. In the team competition, east bernard finished 3rd overall. St. Thomas was 1st with 44 points, Sealy 2nd with 80 points, and East bernard 3rd with 104 points. There were 18 teams competing in the boys race. In the JH races, Kyleigh Longoria was the first EB finisher in the girls race coming in 53rd overall, followed by Adison Opela in 87th, Anna Witte in 97th, Rihanna Hernandez in 138th, and Kadence Hernandez in 145th with 228 runners competing in the race. In the boys race, Jaime Gutierrez finished frst for East Bernard coming in 58th overall, followed by Chris Kopecky in 67th, Clayton Fajkus in 125th, Maddox Crist in 138th, Jackson Morrow in 140th, Zach Fuechec in 143rd, and Zimm Jochec in 144th with 324 boys competing in the race. Congratulations to all the runners. The Jr. High Cc teams will have their district race on Saturday in Palacios with the high school teams competing on Monday in Palacios.
