This past Monday and Tuesday both the boys and girls golf teams competed in the Bellville Invitational at the Bellville Golf Course. Once again, we had some great performances from different people on both teams.
Monday the girls competed and came out ready to play after a long break. Leading the way for the Brahmarettes was Kirbi Guthman with a 97. Next for the Brahmarettes was Sydney Sandoval with a 98. Rounding out the rest of the scores for the Brahmarettes were Grace Tovar with a 100, Hailey Henry with a 112, Riki Nardiello with a 125 and Ella Grymes with a 122. Our team score of 407 was good enough to edge out Caldwell and take home second place as a team.
Tuesday the boys competed against a very strong field. Leading the way for the Brahmas once again was Ryan Morse with a 89. Next for the Brahmas were Doug Grymes and Jace Talas with 91's. Finishing out the scores for the Brahmas were Alex Lopez with a 96, Jose Cubias with a 97, Bryce Somer with a 110, and Andrew Schmidt with a 115. The team score of 367 was good enough to receive 4th place as a team narrowly missing El Campo for 3rd place by 7 strokes.
