Congratulations to the following band students who will be state bound for their excellent work and performances at this weekends solo and ensemble competition in Edna.
We had the most competitors I have ever had in 6 years with a total of 35 attendees. Of those awesome performers we have the following 18 advancing to state:
Karis Hlavinka who received a division 1 on a memorized class 1 solo.
A division 1 receiving sax ensemble of Alex Crisostomo, Victor Aguilar, Zach Cheatham, And Jonah Kubena.
A division 1 receiving brass ensemble of Elliott Carter, Camden East, Garrett Heimann, Sarah Pirtle, Juilianne Sellers, and Devin Talley
A division 1 receiving percussion ensemble of Holly Anderson, Taylor Buxkemper, Sam Coker, Robert Davis, Amadeo Martinez, Chris Murrile, and Kolby Rivera.
In addition Ruth Anne Enrique’s received a first division score on her class 2 solo and a clarinet trio of Xiomara Aguilar, Breanna Boettcher and Angela Cervantes received a first division score on their class two ensemble receiving medals but not advancing to state yet this year.
Congratulations to all the students who gave up their time and energy and competed at the contest. Everyone did a great job and represented EB extremely well.
