This past Saturday, some expertise spelling graced the Wharton county fairgrounds fair exhibition office. 5 th and 6 th graders came away with top honors.
Ilirian Haxhijaj won 2 nd place for 6 th grade while Avery Wilcox finished fourth. Charlise Atteberry , Jackson Morrow and Jaliyah Timmons fought a hard spelling battle as well. Thanks to Cadence Hammock for being an awesome alternate and rehearsing her team before they took the spelling stage.
In fifth grade, Sam Potts brought home the first place trophy. Emily Anderson, Carly Kubicek, Lori Jameson and Ty Domel made East Bernard spelling legacies proud as well. Thanks to Patricia Hercules for being a dependable alternate at practices!
