The past two Saturdays, the EB HS Speech and Debate teams attended two invitational tournaments: one in Wharton, and one at Boling HS. Both small tournaments, the students did pretty well. At Wharton, held Nov. 5, we came away with 8th and 7th place in Senior CX Debate. Individual event results had Mackenize Romero break to the finals in Storytelling and Keaton McDonald received 2nd place overall in Prose.
At Boling's tournament, Nov. 12, the novice CX team of Holly Anderson and Sarah Pirtle received 3rd place, and Holly received 2nd place overall in Novice Persuasive Speaking. Keaton McDonald once again received 2nd in Prose, and Alex Henderson received 1st place in Novice Poetry!
We're looking forward to a great tournament season ahead to get us ready for UIL!
