On Wednesday, May 18, 8:30 a.m., we will have our first
March of the Maroon. This will involve our senior class as well as our current kindergarten class. What
better way to show our pride, progress, and progression than to take our students who are leaving East
Bernard, have fulfilled their educational requirements, and pair them with our kindergartners, who are
just beginning their walk in the Brahma life? Seniors and Kindergartners will be dressed in their
caps and gowns. Seniors will be picking up their kindergartners and walk the halls of each campus (just as
the Friday morning Bulls on Parade during football season). The band will
be following them through the hallways of each of the three
buildings, playing the Fight Song, another big tradition here in EB! The drop off point will be at the
Junior High School gym, where we will all be there cheering them on! At that time, we will sing the school song
together, and then the students will be released back to class. No better way to celebrate the
beginning and the end of wearing our proud maroon!
You are all invited to come in and share this new tradition.
If you go to the Junior High School gym, there will be a table outside the gym doors. There will be paper
and markers for you if you are a graduate of East Bernard School District. We want you to write your
EBISD graduation year on the paper, so that during the ceremony in the gym, we can acknowledge you.
