The East Bernard varsity baseball team beat Hitchcock on
Friday night by a score of 11-5. Leading the charge at the plate for the
Brahmas was JJ Talas with 3 RBI’s and a run, Lane Kolafa with 3 RBI’s and a
run, Jared Rejsek with an RBI and 2 runs, Blake Whitley with an RBI and a run,
and Austin Henry with 2 RBI’s. Matthew Tovar earned the win on the mound, while
Allen Anderson, Jared Rejsek, and Matthew Tovar combined to strike out 13
Hitchcock hitters. This win brings their overall record to 13-6, and 8-2 in
district play. They will be back in action on Friday night, at home, against
Brazos.
