EBHS Girls Basketball Vs Brazos

The Varsity Brahmarettes improved to 6-3 in district play with an exciting 39-37 victory at Brazos last night.  Scoring for the Brahmarettes were Kristen Morse - 15; Rebecca Rabius - 12; Hallye Mica - 4; Bailey Hlavinka - 2; Malynn Plunkett - 2; Jessica Rabius - 2; Cheyenne Novicke -2.  The Brahmarettes next game will be against Hempstead at home this Friday Jan 29th at 6:15










The Brahmarettes held Brazos scoreless in the first half by taking a 35-0 halftime lead. They held the Cougarettes to one basket and 3 free throws the second half with their aggressive defense and won 56-5. Taylor Earls scored 28 pts. while Emily Kurtz scored 14.  Also chipping in for the Brahmarettes were: Blair Berry and Erin Dawson-4 pts. each, and Emily Dawson, Mackensi Muzik and Taylor Swoboda with 2 pts. each.

 The J.V. girls have an overall record of 15-2 and a District Record of 4-0. They will travel to Anderson Shiro on Friday while the Freshmen girls will take on the J.V. Team from Hempstead.
 



The Freshmen girls lost to Brazos last night 21-41 to El Campo. Scoring for the Brahmarettes were Deaundra Smith- 9, Cheslee Karasek-6, and Hayley Hoegemeyer-6.

The Freshmen will play Friday at 5 against the Hempstead JV.
