In a time frame from Aug. 3rdth to Nov. 14th, a team made up of 3 sophomores, 8 juniors, and 4 seniors, competed in a total of 49 matches which included 3 Tournaments and 5 playoff rounds.
Varsity 2015-16 Members:
Alyssa Reyes, Sabrina Show, Jessica Rabius, Malynn Plunkett, Julia Janczak, KK Linder, Maycie Atteberry, Lindsey Matej, Cheyenne Novicke, Sarah Fajkus, Sara Demny, Amber Adamcik, Melissa Fajkus, Rebecca Rabius, and Megan Lee.
The Brahmarettes finished as the: 24 3A Undefeated District Champions 12-0, Bi-District Champions, Area-Champions, Regional Quarterfinal Champions, Regional Semi-final Champions, and represented East Bernard in the Regional Finals (has not been done since 1996). The girls were only one win shy of representing EB in the State Tournament.
*Their Overall Record of 41 Wins and 8 Losses (to 1 3A and all others 4A and up)
*They Finished 2nd out of 58 teams in Region 3
*They finished in the Top 8 out of 196 3A teams in the State of Texas
The girls fell a bit short in the 5th round of playoff action competing against Jewett Leon Saturday night in Longview in Regional Final play to advance into the State Tournament in Garland. The Brahmarettes had a tough time coming together to create their system of play. Scores: 25-9, 25-20, 25-14 Disappointed the season ended but very proud of an outstanding year this growing volleyball team has had!!

A big thanks goes to my managers/trainers who give their complete dedication to this team and coaching staff throughout the long season. *Morgan Swoboda, Monica Reyna, Reagan New and Sara Berrett. I also want to give a shout out to my Practice Squad kids: Morgan Whitley, Kristen Kieler and Brooke Dirba. Big help in our preparations for the playoff season.
I want to give a thank you for all the support of our Journalism department and Mrs. Kubena for making the programs and trips to games. Another thank you to Mrs. New for the support from Booster Club with the cooler of drinks on the long bus rides.
