Congratulations to our 2015 24AAA JH Brahmarette District Track Champions!
Despite ending the meet just shy of the 1600m run and 1600m relay and not able to throw the shot or discus due to inclement weather and conditions, the 7th girls’ team earned 196 points and the 8th girls’ team earned 162 points for 1st place. These young ladies produced some of their best times and jumps on Saturday, and, as always, our Brahmarettes were very competitive.
Also, congratulations goes out to two individuals for breaking EB Track records this year. Deaundra Smith broke the 300m hurdle 8th grade EB record running a 50.68 in the Needville Meet. The previous record was held by Mackenzie Muziks 50.9 that was set last year. Caeli Taylor ran a 2:32.56 800m run at the District meet which topped the previous 7th grade EB record of 2:37.20 set by Ashley Anderson in 2007.
