Over spring break our EB Team Tennis competed in the Regional Team Tennis Meet in Somerville and the State Team Tennis Meet in Round Rock.
At Regionals March 6-7th in Somerville:
The kids competed against Somerville and won with an overall match count of 19-0. They then competed against Brazos and won with an overall match count of 13-4. This put us 1st place and qualified us to move into the State Team Tennis Meet.
At State this last weekend March 12-14th in Round Rock:
The kids competed against 4 teams consisting of 76 matches in 3 days. Lots of tennis played with a lot of hard work put into their matches.
1st match up with Wall: Lost with an overall match count of 8-11.
2nd match up with Shallowater: Won with an overall match count of 14-5
3rd match up with San Saba: Won with an overall match count of 16-3
4th match up with Whitesboro: Won with an overall match count of 10-9
The EB Team Tennis finished Saturday evening with 9th place out of 16 teams.

A look ahead:
JV Tennis has a meet tomorrow March 17th in Wharton and then Varsity and JV head into District Tennis on Monday March 23rd and 25th in Wharton. Hope to have Varsity kids qualify into Regionals on April 20th and 21st then on to State May 12th and 13th.
