The 7th Grade basketball B team traveled to
Brazos on Saturday to compete in their annual basketball tournament and
finished the day 2-0 and Tournament Champions. The First game of the morning
was against Bellville, with East Bernard finishing on top by a final score of
23-10. Leading scorers were Keith Atkinson with 9, Riley Henke with 6, Kameron
Matthews with 4, Ethan Hlavinka with 2 and Douglas Grymes with 2. In the
championship, East Bernard played Brazos and won by a final score of 29-12.
Leading scorers were Keith Atkinson with 8, Douglas Grymes with 6, Riley Henke
with 6, Ethan Hlavinka with 4, Jose Cubias with 3 and Jose Quintero with 2.
Leading the charge defensively all day was Efrain Lopez, Seth Horelica, and
Nathan Aguilar. Please congratulate these young men on a job well done. The two
wins brings their season record to 5-4 overall. They will be back in action on
Thursday at home against Van Vleck.
