Friday the Freshmen girls defeated Brazos 37-15. Scoring for the Brahmarettes were Jillian Hlavinka-9, Mackensi Muzik-9, Emily Dawon-8, Kristin Kieler-7, and Emily Kurtz-4.
The Brahmarettes will be back in action Tuesday versus El Camp at 7:30 in the Jr. High gym.
JV
The JV Girls Basketball Team stayed
unbeaten in District play with a 54-19 win over Van Vleck on Friday night.
Jessica Rabius led all scorers with 14 pts. Also contributing to the point
total: Mackenzie Wilkerson-10 pts., Baylee Jankowski-9pts., Maycie Atteberry-7pts.,
Brooke Polak-5 pts., Randi Goates & Corrinna Navarro-4 pts. each, and
Brandi Rosales with a free throw. The girls are 14-3 on the year and 5-0 in
District. They will host Boling tomorrow at 5:00 in the JH gym to start the
second round of District play.
Varsity
The Varsity Brahmarettes finished the first round of district play Friday night with a big win over Van Vleck 26-24. Scoring for the Brahmarettes were Kristen Morse - 8 points; Samantha Show - 7 points; Kelbi Fortenberry - 3 points; Malynn Plunkett - 2 points; Aliska Schmidt - 2 points; Sabrina Show - 2 points; Rebecca Rabius - 2 points. The Brahmarettes finished the first round of district with a 5-1 record and are sitting in 2nd place behind Hitchcock. The Brahmarettes next game will be at home Tuesday the 20th against Boling at 6:15.
