On Saturday, East Bernard hosted their annual Jr. High Tournament. The 7th Grade A team gave a tremendous effort all day, and came up 1 point shy of the Tournament Championship. The first game of the morning the Brahmas battled Sealy and came up 1 point shy, losing 33-32. Leading scorers for the Brahmas was Reagan Whitley with 11, Tanner Baggett with 8, Brock Aschenbeck with 7, Ethan Rejsek with 2, Colby Jedlicka with 2, and JR Schauer with 2. The next game the Brahmas battled Bellville and won by a final score of 41-30. Leading scorers in that game were Tanner Baggett with 15, Colby Jedlicka with 10, Ethan Rejsek with 5, Reagan Whitley with 4, Brock Aschenbeck with 4, and Cole Lee with 3. The last game, the Brahmas took on Hallettsville with a second place finish on the line. The Brahmas proved to be victorious and took home the second place plaque winning by a final score of 24-17. Leading scorers in that game were Tanner Baggett with 10, Reagan Whitley with 7, Cole Lee with 2, JR Schauer with 2, Ethan Rejsek with 2, and Brock Aschenbeck with 2.  Leading the charge defensively for East Bernard was Bo Badger, Shane Hlavinka and Ryan Morse. Their season record is now 6-3. The Brahmas are back in action tonight as they travel to Van Vleck.
