Last night, the 7th grade boys A and B basketball teams downed the visiting Schulenburg Shorthorns to finish the season off with a win. The B team overcame a slow start to come away with a 24-8 victory. Scoring for the Brahmas was Zachary Cheatham (9), Patrick Hlavinka (5), Mason Vasut (4), Alex Lopez (4), and Dalton Schmidt (2). Leading the charge defensively for the Brahmas was Austin Draper, AJ Lazo, Taylor Buxkemper, and Sammy Simms. The B team finished the season with a record of 8-2, and a tournament championship.
The A team won by a final score of 39-18, finishing the season with a record of 9-5. Scoring for the Brahmas was Isaac Munoz (8), Christian Alcalar (8), Joe Petrenella (6), Grady Prazak (4), Kyler Marek (4), Hunter Goudeau (3), Justin Bosse (2), Joey Stearman (2), and Destin Schuler (2). Leading the charge on defense was Zach Vacek. The A team finished the season with a record of 9-5, a tournament championship, and a second place finish in the Rice tournament last weekend.
