Last night the freshman
girls competed in a match against Columbus Lady Cardinals JV Team. The girls
pulled away with a hard fought win of 39 – 34. Leading scorers for the
Brahmarettes were Zoe Talas with 16, Cameryn Whitley with 9, Keaton Fortenberry
with 8, Payton McGuire with 4, and Rylan Warncke with 2. Defensive standouts
were Courtney Dickson and Cameryn Whitley. The freshman team is now 2 – 0 on
the season.
Last night the girls traveled to Columbus to take on the
lady Cardinals again. This time, this Brahmarettes fell short, losing by a
final score of 56-43. Leading scorers for the Brahmarettes was Deedee Smith
with 15, Cheslee Karasek with 9, Jessica Rabius with 6, Mackensi Muzik with 5,
Julia Janczak with 4, Blair Berry with 2, and Emily Kurtz with 2. The
Brahmarettes are now 5-3 on the season. They will be back in action tomorrow in
the Schulenburg tournament, game times are at 4:20 and 7:00.
