EBHS Girls Basketball Results

The East Bernard Brahmarettes finished up the Tidehaven tournament on Saturday by beating Ganado and losing to Boling. The first game featured the Brahmarettes vs Ganado and ended with a final of 52-23. Leading the scoring for the Brahmarettes was Deedee Smith with 14, Mackensi Muzik with 9, Emily Kurtz with 8, Jessica Rabius with 7, Blair Berry with 5, Cheslee Karasek with 5, and Julia Janczak with 4. In the second game, the Brahmarettes couldn’t hold on to the lead against Boling, losing by a final of 41-38. Leading the scoring in that game was Jessica Rabius with 11, Julia Janczak with 8, Cheslee Karasek with 8, Deedee Smith with 5, Mackensi Muzik with 4, and Lexi Marik with 2. The Brahmarettes are now 5-2 on the season. They will be back in action tomorrow night in Columbus, JV to begin at 5:00 with varsity to follow.

The J.V. Girls defeated La Grange 29-26 for a 3rd place finish in the Hallettsville Tournament. Leading the way for the Brahmarettes was Zoey Talas with 7 pts. Also scoring for the team: Taylor Bottoms-6 pts., Camryn Whitley-5 pts., Paige Nixon-4 pts., Keatan Fortenberry, Dakota Domel, Madison Crist-2 pts., and Peyton McGuire-1 pt. The girls are 5-1 on the season. They will play in the Wharton Tournament on Thursday, Dec. 7th and Saturday, Dec. 9th.
