January Board Meeting Happenings

We are so proud of our EBISD students! Three talented young ladies shared their UIL presentations with the Board last night--Addison Opela- 5th grade oral reading, Makayla Crist, 6th grade oral reading, and Sophie Morrow, 7th grade modern oratory. Outstanding job and thank you to their coaches, Mrs. Carr and Mrs. Cerny. Our second special guest was high school senior, Michael Sims, who presented his Eagle Scout project--a beautifully crafted and designed memorial area in honor of Aliyha Hayes. He put in countless hours and had many donations, both monetary and physical labor, from local friends, family, and community businesses. EBISD thanks you for making this happen. With all of the A-F rating talk out there, these students are really what it is all about.

The EBISD School Board was honored for Board Appreciation month (Board Appreciation Letter). We want to thank our high school Culinary Arts students and teacher, Mrs. Grigar as well as Mr. Grigar for preparing the meal, our junior high students, Hannah Munoz and Caroline Kunz, for being our servers, and Mrs. Henry's Pre-K class for the personalized placemats. Thank you to our board members for the many hours they put in at meetings and making decisions for our district and students.
