EBHS Girls Basketball Results



The Brahmarettes played host to the Columbus Cardinals last night for their home opener of the 2016-2017 season. Utilizing tough defense and lots of hustle, East Bernard was came out on top by a score of 50-40. Leading scorers for the Brahmarettes were Sabrina Show with 12, Kristen Morse with 12, Rebecca Rabius with 11, Maycie Atteberry with 7, Julia Janczak with 6, and Erin Dawson with 2. East Bernard will travel to Schulenburg tomorrow for their second tournament. Game times for tomorrow are at 1:20 against Giddings and 5:00 against Brazos. 



The J.V. Girls Basketball Team improved their record last night to 4-3 by defeating Columbus 48-24. Scoring for the Brahmarettes were: Mackensi Muzik-15 pts., Dee Dee Smith-11, Logan Goudeau-8, Emily Kurtz-6, Hayley Hoegemeyer-4, Brooke Dirba and Morgan Kubes-2 pts. each. Defensive standouts for the team were Mackensi Muzik, Blair Berry, Logan Goudeau and Hayley Hoegemeyer. The J.V. Girls will return to action next Tuesday when they travel to Columbus to take on the Lady Cardinals again.



The EB Brahmarette Freshman team competed against El campo last night in EB. When I say competed, I mean competed! Girls came out on top winning 18-17. Lead scorers were Kenna Novicke-8 points, Dakota Domel and Taylor Bottoms-4 each and Lexi Marik-2. Defensive leaders of the game were Novicke, Babin, and Domel. Brahmarette Freshman team will compete again next Tuesday on the road in Palacios at 5.
