EBISD Cross Country Team Results from the Lumberjack Invitational



The East Bernard CC teams competed in the Lumberjack Invitational in Nacogdoches this past weekend. The Varsity Boys finished 8th overall out of 20 teams. 4 of the teams placing ahead of the Brahmas were 6A teams. The boys competed well against pretty stiff competition. Indiviually, Caleb Moseley was the first EB harrier to croos in 21st place with a time of 18:01. Jacob Muniz finished in 36th place with 18:53, Isaac Ortiz was 55th in 19:39, Russell Zahradnik was 62nd in 20:08, Blaine Whitley was 64th in 20:12, Jackson Barta was 72nd in 20:35, David Martinez was 101st in 21:43, Jacob Wondrash placed 105th in 21:50, and Shane Kresta placed 117th in22:50. There were 156 runners competing in the Varsity Boys race. The Varsity girls competed in the 5K race against all 6A schools and earned the Invitational Championship. Individually, Liz Guerra was the first East Bernard runner to cross the finish line in 3rd place with a time of 19:57. Jessica Rabius finished 6th overall in21:14, MacKensi Muzik was 7th in 21:15. All three girls were medalists. AJ Navarro just missed out on a medal finishing in 11th place with a time of 21:28, Jillian Hlavinka finished 15th with a time of21:39, Corrina Navarro was 27th with a time of 23:03, Alyssa Schulte was 33rd with a time of 24:20, and Kasey Kretzschmar was 37th with a time of 25:09. Both teams will be racing in Huntsville on Saturday at Kate Barr Ross Park at the Region 3 Preview. The boys will compete first at 9:35followed by the girls at 10:10
