EBHS Cross Country SHSU Invitational Results

The East Bernard Cross Country teams competed in the SHSU Region 3 XC Preview Invitational this past Saturday. The course will be the site of the Regional Meet on October 26. Both teams competed in the Bronze Division against 2A, 3A, and 4A teams that are all in Region 3. The Boys raced first competing against 24 teams with 191 runners in the race. East Bernard placed 6th overall. Individually, Caleb Moseley finished 5th overall to earn medalist honors finishing in a time of 17:51. Jacob Muniz finished 18th with a time of 18:43, Blaine Whitley was 52nd in 19:46, Isaac Ortiz was 64th in 20:02, Russell Zahradnik was 72nd in 20:18, Jackson Barta finished 78th in 20:28, Jacob Wondrash was 132nd in 21:50, David Martinez was 150th in 22:47, and Shane Kresta finished 156th in 23:04. In the girls race there were 30 teams with 232 girls competing in the race. East Bernard tied for 1st with Fairfield, both earning 45 points. Fairfield earned the championship plaque based on the 6th finisher. Individually, Liz Guerra was 3rd overall in 12:24 and Jessica Rabius was 6th in 12:49 to both earn medalist honors. Jillian Hlavinka just missed out on a medal finishing 11th in 13:20followed close behind by two of her teammates, MacKensi Muzik in 12th with a time of 13:22.3 and AJ Navarro in 13th place with a time of 13:22.8. Corrina Navarro was 49th overall in 14:28 with Alyssa Schulte in 54th with a time of 14:41. Congratulations to all the runners on representing East Bernard. Both teams, as well as the Junior High CC teams will be running in Shiner Saturday at Green Dickson Park right next to Shiner High School with the Varsity Girls running first at 8:30.
