Stavinoha Helps EB JV Down Weimar 5-1

Zach Stavinoha went 3-3 at the plate, helping East Bernard Jv baseball team to a 5-1 victory over Weimar on Tuesday at Weimar. He singled in the second and third innings and doubled in the fifth inning. Tyler Sulak worked out of three tricky spots for the brahmas. He pitched five innings and allowed one earned run on two hits. Sulak faced his trickiest spot in the fourth inning but worked hard to get out of a jam. The game's last lead went to brahmas thanks to a second inning rally that saw one run cross the plate on an RBI double by Hunter Clough. E.B. matched its one-run third inning with one more in the sixth. In the third, the brahmas scored on an RBI single by Stavinoha, scoring Jonathan Hlavinka. E.B. tacked on another two runs in the fifth. A ground out scored Brian Barta for the inning's first run. That was followed up by Stavinoha's double, bringing home Kyle Hlavinka. Weimar scored its only run of the game on an error in the fifth inning.  Nathan Hlavinka was also a big contributor to the brahmas win, he had 3 hits an also closed the game on the mound for Sulak.
