Volleyball Results
straight games: 25-13, 25-16, 25-20. This is the 2nd time in 13
years.
Kill leader was Terralyn Williams with 17. Ashley Dusek and Sloan
Carr contributed 8 a piece.
Kelsey Goodwin had 21 assists. Dusek led the team in digs with 19
while Williams and Erica Reyes managed to pick up 14 a piece. Ashley
Anderson was the big defender on the net with 4 solo blocks and 2
assist blocks.
This puts the team with an overall record of 19-7 and a district
record of 4-1. Their next match will be against Rice on Tueday
evening in Altair

Volleyball vs. Weimar
Kill leader was Ashley Dusek with 8 followed by Terralyn Williams and Sloan Carr with 6.
Kelsey Goodwin led in assists with 16. Goodwin and Ashley Anderson also picked up 10 digs a piece while Erica scooped up 17.
Rounding off the defense was Williams, Anderson and Courtney Smith with 2 solo digs a piece and a combined 5 block assists.
The team is now 3 and 1 in district. We will face Brazos Friday night.

8th Grade Football Results
East Bernard - 30 Rice - 8
Offensive Standouts: Matthew Tovar, Allen Anderson, Austin Henry
Defensive Standouts: Blake Whitley, Brent Babin, Blake Sainz
The key to the game was the first quarter, we recovered a fumble after the 1st play then scored and recovered the onside kick, scored again and recovered the onside kick. The game was physical and they played really good as a team. Recovered three fumbles and two onside kicks and another kick late in the game. Play next week in Tidehaven starting at 5pm with the 7th grade.

JV Volleyball Results
Last week we competed against Hallettsville on Tuesday and Ganado on
Friday. We played hard both games. We also competed in the Columbus
JV tournament on Thursday and Saturday.
With our 2nd District game against Hallettsville, we won in 3.
Scores: 23-25, 25-23, and 26-24
This was a really strong match for both sides. The girls played tough
and finished with the win in the end.
With Gando, we came out with another great win on Friday. Scores:
25-11, 25-20 Outstanding job by all the girls.
On Thursday, we had our first match against Brenham and lost in 2.
This put us into the Consolation Bracket for Saturday. Our 2nd game
of the day was against Schulenburg and our girls took the Win in 2.
Scores: 25-8, 25-20 We competed with Brazosport and Yoakum on
Saturday. Both games the girls came out with the Win. Scores: 25-5,
25-6 and 25-22, 25-18. Our girls won the Consolation Bracket on
Saturday.
Overall Record: 15-2
District Record: 2-0

Terralyn was our top hitter for the night with 17 kills. Ashley
Anderson, Ashley Dusek, and Kori Slanina each had 5, and Anna Srubar,
Courtney Smith, Slaon Carr and Mary Demny all contributed with a kill.
Carr had 20 assists, while Kelsey Goodwin had 13.
Carr and Dusek had 2 aces a piece.
Erica Reyes was the big defensive player with 11 digs. Anderson
helped defense by having 3 solo blocks.
Overall 17-1
Next district game is Tuesday night against Schulenburg.

Lieutenant Colonel Consuelo Kickbusch, U.S. Army (Retired) is a
renowned charismatic, passionate speaker who carries a powerful
message for parents and students. She has dedicated her life to
empowering a new generation of leaders. Even though Consuelo was
raised along the border in a small barrio in Laredo, Texas, she had a
strong family that was rich in culture, tradition, and faith. The
values instilled in her were reinforced throughout her career in the
United States military. While in the military, she broke barriers and
set records to become the highest-ranking Hispanic woman in the Combat
Support Field of the U.S. Army. Consuelo retired as a 22-year veteran.
She returned to her roots and became a community leader and founder of
Educational Achievement Services, Inc. with a mission to prepare
tomorrow's leaders. She challenges parents
to help their children have a vision beyond their surroundings.

Varsity won 20-25, 25-20, 20-25, 25-13, 15-10
Ashley Dusek lead with 13 kills, 6 aces, 18 digs, and 4 solo blocks
Terralyn Williams put up 11 kills with 5 solo blocks
Courtney Smith, Ashley Anderson, and Kori Slanina each had 4 kills and Anderson had 6 solo and 1 assist block
Erica Reyes had 17 digs and 3 aces.
Sloan Carr had 19 assists and 14 digs while Kelsey Goodwin had 17 assists
The girls set out on a job to do and competed to the end to pull out a victory over Halletsville. The girls are learning daily and getting stronger.
Varsity is 16-6 overall and 2-0 in district
The sub-varsity also put up a fight. It's great to see these girls work for everything until the whistle blows.

Jackson rushed for a game-high 195 yards on 27 carries to lead Spring
Westfield to a 37-20 win over Houston Memorial.
Kendrick Jones – Northbrook
Jones rushed for 235 yards with two scores, including the go-ahead
one-yard touchdown run with 8:06 to play in Northbrook's 18-17 win
over Milby.
Garry Kimble – Pearland Dawson
Kimble had 281 yards of total offense and five touchdowns in Pearland
Dawson's 52-20 win over Conroe Oak Ridge. Kimble had 193 yards
passing with two scores while running for 88 yards and three
touchdowns.
Carson Raines – Nederland
Raines threw for 201 yards with three touchdowns to lead Nederland to
a 38-20 win over Goose Creek Memorial.
Desmond Roberts – Magnolia West
Roberts rushed for 206 yards on 35 carries with two touchdowns as

Galena Park North Shore to a 51-7 win over Eisenhower.
James White – Pearland Dawson
White rushed for 207 yards on 21 carries and scored three times to
lead Pearland Dawson to a 52-20 win over Conroe Oak Ridge.
