Jonte Goff nominated for the Marine Corps Elite Warrior of the Week!

Marine Corps Elite Warrior of the Week - Week 2 Nominees-Houston

Marine Corps Elite Warrior of the Week campaign honors the state's
best football players

HOUSTON, TEXAS – The Marine Corps Recruiting Station Houston is proud
to announce the nominees for the Marine Corps Elite Warrior of the
Week that honors the best high school football players in Texas.  Fans
can vote online for the Marine Corps Elite Warrior of the Week online
at www.TheSportsFlash.com.  Voting ends at 9:00 PM EDT on Thursday.
Winner will be announced on Monday.

Marine Corps Elite Warrior of the Week - Nominees

Nick Barber – Kelly
Barber rushed for 151 yards with four scores as Kelly outscored East
Chambers, 42-38.

Jerry Byrum – Alief Elsik
Byrum rushed for 290 yards with four touchdowns in Alief Elski's 49-20
win over Clear Lake.

Connor Feist – Langham Creek
Feist threw for 490 yards (16-of-24) with four touchdowns as Langham
Creek outscored Stratford, 66-28.

Jonte Goff – East Bernard
Goff spearheaded East Bernard's 515 yard rushing attack with 189 yards
and three touchdowns in a 40-20 win over Houston Christian.

Carter Hollo – Seven Lakes
Hollo had eight receptions for 134 yards and  touchdown as Seven Lakes
knocked off Fort Bend Dulles, 31-3.

Kaylon Jackson – Spring Westfield
Jackson rushed for a game-high 195 yards on 27 carries to lead Spring
Westfield to a 37-20 win over Houston Memorial.

Kendrick Jones – Northbrook
Jones rushed for 235 yards with two scores, including the go-ahead
one-yard touchdown run with 8:06 to play in Northbrook's 18-17 win
over Milby.

Garry Kimble – Pearland Dawson
Kimble had 281 yards of total offense and five touchdowns in Pearland
Dawson's 52-20 win over Conroe Oak Ridge.  Kimble had 193 yards
passing with two scores while running for 88 yards and three
touchdowns.

Carson Raines – Nederland
Raines threw for 201 yards with three touchdowns to lead Nederland to
a 38-20 win over Goose Creek Memorial.

Desmond Roberts – Magnolia West
Roberts rushed for 206 yards on 35 carries with two touchdowns as
Magnolia West beat Humble Kingwood Park, 42-19.

Terrence Singleton – Memorial
Singleton completed 14-of-15 for 276 yards with three touchdowns in
Memorial's 45-8 win over Ozen.

Carlos Smith – C.E. King
Smith had five catches for 118 yards with a touchdown as C.E. King
beat Conroe Caney Creek, 21-8.

Micah Thomas – Galena Park North Shore
Thomas had 258 yards of total offense with five touchdowns to lead
Galena Park North Shore to a 51-7 win over Eisenhower.

James White – Pearland Dawson
White rushed for 207 yards on 21 carries and scored three times to
lead Pearland Dawson to a 52-20 win over Conroe Oak Ridge.
