EBHS Cross Country Moulton Meet Results

The boys and girls CC teams competed in Moulton this past Saturday on a hilly course in hot weather.  The Varsity girls competed first, and finished as the top team with 32 points, followed by Gonzales with 56 in 2nd place, Navarro in 3rd with 74 points, Caldwell 4th with 11, and Halletsville 5th with 144 points.  There were 21 teams competing in the 3A-6A race.  Individually, Madison Muzik placed 4th overall to come in first for East Bernard, followed by Aracely Acevedo in 9th place, Emma Alexander in 10th, Libby Hancock in 13th, Samatha Rabius in 15th, and Alejandra Avila in 19th to all earn medalist honors. Kylee Bates finished in 25th place and Kyleigh Longoria in 31st with 180 girls competing in the race.  The top 5 girls finished within 40 seconds of each helping them to earn the championship. In the Varsity Boys race,East Bernard finished in 3rd place overall with 112 points.  Cedar Creek placed first with 85 points, Bellville 2nd with 98 points and East Bernard 3rd, Industrial 4th with 147 and Gonzales was 5th with 147 points too, but Industrials's 6th runner came in before the 6th runner from Gonzales to place them ahead.  There were 19 teams competing in the boys race.  Individually, Bo Badger finished 4th overall to come in first for East Bernard, followed by Colby Kurtz in 9th place and Barrett Whitley in 19th place to all earn medalist honors.  Kolby Townsend finished in 39th, Cade Janecek in 48th, and Kaleb Rivera in 67th place with 162 boys competing in the race.  In the JH divisions, the top finisher for the girls was Bella Dujka in 37th place, followed by Anna Witte in 39th, Addison Opela in 44th, Kadence Hernandez in 53rd, and Jasmine Munivez in 96th place to complete the East Bernard team.  There were 170 girls racing and East Bernard finished as the 9th place team with 17 teams competing. In the JH boys race, Zym Jochec crossed the finish line first for East Bernard in 26th place, followed by Gabe Heimann in 36th, Jackson Morrow in 46th, Bryton Karasek in 51st, Cole Janecek in 148th, Tyler Viktorin in 165th, and Darian Russell in 180th with 187 boys competing in the race. East Bernard finished as the 8th place team with 15 teams competing in the JH boys race.  The CC teams will be running in Shiner  this weekend at  Green Dickson Park with the girls racing first starting at 8:30.  Congratulations to all the runners!
