We are starting things off the EB way by bragging on student success so we will add to it and give everyone a little update from the summer time. If you attended the teacher breakfast, you have heard some of this so I apologize.
7 students earned their State Lone Star Degree from Texas FFA this summer. This is the highest FFA degree that a member can earn from the Texas FFA. This is the culmination of 3 years of hard work and dedication to FFA. Less than 2% of Texas FFA Members earn this degree each year.
EB FFA was recognized at the State Convention as a Gold Rated Chapter through the National Chapter Rating Award. We were one of 24 FFA chapters in Texas to earn a Gold Rating. There are over 1060 FFA chapters in Texas. Our application was forwarded on to the National FFA for scoring and ranking and we were awarded 3 stars at the National level, the HIGHEST level that a chapter can earn. This award is based upon the chapters activities in the following areas: growing leaders, growing communities, and advancing agriculture. We will be recognized on stage in October at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana for this accomplishment.
So in short... our EB FFA kids are State and Nationally awarded/recognized among other FFA members and FFA chapters!
Here is to continuing the success!
