Over Spring Break EB had 2 teams compete in the CX (Policy) Debate State Championships in Austin: Holly Anderson and Emelia Muniz, and Keaton McDonald and Abbey Sellers. Over 52 3A teams were there, and Holly and Milli went 1 and 3, which is not bad for their first year at State. Keaton and Abbey went 3 and 1, and qualiified for Octofinals (down to 16 teams). They ended up finishing 9th overall in the State.
Yesterday was the District Contest for Lincoln Douglas debate. The contestants were Shelby Aubuchon, who went undefeated and got District Champion, Joci Witt, who took 2nd in the district, and Camden East, who will receive her 6th place medal.
I am so proud of the hard work that all the contestants put in all year! For the Shelby and Joci, it's off to Region!
