EBES Jump Rope for Heart Info

Dear Parents,

We have kicked off Jump Rope for Heart in PE

​in 2nd, 3rd & 4th grade

are bringing home a letter and envelope with details.  During the next 3 weeks students will be using educational materials from the American Heart Association to learn about HOW and WHY they need to take care of their hearts.  They will also be raising funds to help others whose hearts aren’t as healthy. We also get to earn money to purchase new PE equipment!
With a $5 donation students will earn "Rory" and a lanyard. Tear off the coupon on the envelope when your student raises this amount and have them return it to their PE Teacher. 

When a student goes online and raises just $10 they will get both "Rory", the lanyard and "Mr. Tuskers" instantly in PE).  After raising $85 online the students will earn “Savannah Bolt”.  If they send 10 E-cards from www.heart/org/jump  they will get a “Rory Badge” to wear with on their lanyard.   The remaining zoo crew and thank you gifts on the envelope will come approximately 6 weeks after we finish out event. Go online on your computer or phone to  www.heart.org/jump to sign up.

Special Incentive for students in our area! 

The Houston Rockets: Students raising a minimum of $50 will receive an offer to redeem a voucher for Buy One Get One Free ticket: to one (1) of the pre-selected Houston Rockets-American Heart Association games*. This offer includes the opportunity to shoot a Post-Game Shot on the court. Houston Rockets games below as a thank you for raising money for the American Heart Association.

How it works:

Once your student has turned in his/her Jump Rope/Hoops For Heart donations to your school either online or in the collection envelope, your student will receive a Rockets voucher from his/her P.E. teacher. Parents can then order tickets to one of the games above. Ordering options are online, fax and mailed.
