East Bernard FFA members have been busy the last few weeks competing in Livestock Judging and Tractor Tech contests. Below are some results:
20 members participated in the Washington County Fair Livestock Judging Contest on Sept. 17th. Notable placings were: 6th Place Intermediate Team- (Blake Jedlicka- 6th place overall, Rylee Vacek- 12th place individual, and Cade Janacek). There were 38 teams in the Junior Division and 116 individuals. In the Senior Division,there was 127 teams and 399 Individuals. EB had the 12th Place Senior Team- (Dalton Schmidt, Tanner Schmidt, Brent Vacek, Shane Hlavinka) and the 25th place Senior team (Sydnie Lackey, Zach Vacek, Jena LeBlanc, Colby Jedlicka). Other members participating were Paige Romero, Joseph Vacek, Kyla Janecek, Blair Berry, Kenneth Schauer, Hannah Chumchal, Shelby AuBuchon, Alex Fuentes, and Chloe Howard.
3 FFA members traveled to the Colorado County Fair Livestock Judging Contest on Sept. 24th on their won and competed. Rylee Vacek placed 17th high individual out of 89 individuals while Paige Romero and Sydnie Lackey competed in the Senior division of the contest.
18 FFA members participated in the Waller County Fair Livestock Judging on Sept. 30th. The team of Kenneth Schauer (16th high individual), Brent Vacek, Jenna LeBlanc and Sydnie Lackey placed 8th in the Senior Division. There were 98 teams and 326 individuals participating in the contest. Others participating were Paige Romero, Zach Vacek, Colby Jedlicka, Joseph Vacek, Braden Janecek, Shane Hlavinka, Dalton Schmidt, Tanner Schmidt, Kyla Janecek, Blair Berry, and Chloe Howard.
On Saturday, October 1st, 14 members traveled to the Fort Bend County Fair to participate in the Livestock Judging Contest. Notable placings were 4th place Senior team of Braden Janecek (11th high Individual) , Dalton Schmidt, Shane Hlavinka, and Tanner Schmidt.The team of Sydnie Lackey, Kenneth Schauer, Paige Romero, and Zach Vacek were 13th place Senior Team.Others participating were Hannah Chumchal, Chloe Howard, Blair Berry, Kyla Janecek, and Alex Fuentes.Cade Janecek participated in the Junior Division.
On Saturday, October 15th, 14 members traveled to the Austin County Fair to participate in the Livestock Judging and Tractor Tech Contests. In the Livestock Judging Contests, the team of Brent Vacek, Shane Hlavinka, Dalton Schmidt and Braden Janecek placed 17th out of 58 teams. Other participating were Kenneth Schauer, Paige Romero, Zach Vacek, Sydnie Lackey, Kyla Janecek, Blair Berry, Hannah Chumchal.The Intermediate team of Rylee Vacek, Blake Jedlicka (13th High Individual), and Cade Janecek placed 10th out of 23 teams.
In the Tractor Tech contest, the team of Joseph Vacek (9th high individual), Tim Gorham and Jacob Minks placed 4th overall, while the team of Tanner Schmidt (5th high individual) , Jared Fuechec, and Trey Schmidt (11th high individual) placed 6th overall. Other participating were Cole Corman, Marshall Mahalitc and Joe Petrenella. There were 22 teams and 66 individuals competing.
