This past weekend was one of those weekends that made you proud to be a Brahma. Volleyball sealed the deal on the district championships, football had an impressive showing, cross country teams advanced to state and FFA members were busy competing and giving back.
On Friday, October 28th, 22 FFA members traveled to Houston Community College-Katy Campus t compete in the Leadership Extravaganza to help prepare them for their District FFA Leadership Contests on November 10th. 4 teams brought home banners and others were extremely close. Results are as follows:

3rd Place- Greenhand Creed Speaking- Hailey Henry
4th Place- Job Interview- Logan Goudeau
5th Place- Sr Quiz- Marissa Macha, Alcadia Salcido, Blair Berry, Jenna LeBlanc
6th Place- Jr Quiz- McKenna Novicke, Sydnie Lackey, Paige Romero, Kendall Araguz
8th Place- Public Relations- Lindsey Matej, Julia Janzcak, Harper Carr, Shea Potts
12th place- Sr Creed Speaking- Abbey Sellers
On Saturday, October 29th, 45 East Bernard FFA member gathered to say "Thank You" to the community of East Bernard by completing 4 different community service projects. The big project of the day was to finish painting the pipe fence at the city park. Members used a wire brush to knock off the rust and then painted the fence black. Other members picked up trash around the school, worked on restoring the FFA sign by Dairy Queen, and cleaned up Memorial Park between the football stadium and the high school.All projects were completed within a couple of hours.
