This week in the Wildlife Management class we have been learning about Quail. We learned that we cannot change the bird, but we can change the habitat. In order to understand Quail a little better, we completed a dissection of Bobwhite Quail provided free of charge to us from the Texas Wildlife Association. We examined the external characteristics of the quail as well as followed a seed through the digestive tract, and exploring the contents of the crop and gizzard.
