The East Bernard J.V. football team played host to the
visiting Yoakum Bulldogs last night for their 3rd game of the 2015
season. The Brahmas came away with a well-deserved 43-12 victory. Scoring for
the Brahmas was Locke Rowley with two touchdowns including one 99 yard
untouched run, Trevor Bagby with one
rushing touchdown and one receiving touchdown, Taihronne Nichols with one
touchdown, and Cade Koeppen with one receiving touchdown. Thomas Long was on
the money all night with just one incompletion. Thomas connected with Trevor
Bagby for a 53 yard touchdown and Cade Koeppen for a 28 yard touchdown. Also
scoring for the Brahmas was Zachary Gohlke with two 2-point conversions, and
DeLeon Perkins with a 2-point conversion. Thomas Long added a PAT to round out
the scoring at 43. The Brahmas were stifling on defense all night with a forced
fumble and a huge goal line stand. Tyler Bagby forced the fumble, while Jared
Fuechec recovered it. Other standouts were Victor Tichacek who had a tackle for
loss, Jacob Guthman who had a tackle for loss, Logan Baird, and Braden
Janecek. The win improves the J.V.
record to 3-0 on the year. They will be back in action on Thursday, September
17 against Schulenburg.
