EBHS Cross Country Wildcat Invitational Results
The East Bernard CC teams competed in the Wildcat Invitational in Weimar this past Saturday. The Varsity Boys finished 1st out of 13 teams. Individually, East Bernard had 5 medalists. Caleb Mosely finished first for the Brahmas in 3rd place followed by Blaine Whitley coming in 4th overall, Jacob Muniz in 5th place, Russell Zahradnik in 11th, and Isaac Ortiz in 19th place. Jackson Barta was the sixth EB runner to finish in 27th place with Jacob Wondrash following in 33rd, David Martinez in 45th, and Shane Kresta in 54th place. There were 98 runners competing in the Varsity Boys race. Brandon Smith competed in the JV division and finished in 5th place. The Varsity Girls finished in 1st place for the 4th time this season. There were 13 teams competing in the Varsity Girls race. The girls team had six medalists. Liz Guerra finished in 1st place overall, with Jessica Rabius in 2nd, Kensi Muzik in 4th, Jillian Hlavinka in 6th, AJ Navarro in 9th, and Corrina Navarro in 14th place. Alyssa Schulte just missed out of a medal finishing in 22nd place with Kasey Kretzschmar finishing in 31st place. There were 101 girls racing in the Varsity Division. The Jr. High teams also competed. The Jr. High girls finished in 1st place with Caeli Taylor as the first EB runner to cross. She was followed by Lexi Marik in 4th place, Madison Crist in 6th, Rylan Warncke in 8th ,Aracely Acevedo in 12th, Caitlyn Fuechec in 13th, Grace Tovar in 14th, Lauren Rieger in 18th, and Kara Riley in 19th to all earn medalist honors. Also competing was Kimball Swiger in 23rd, Katherine Ellis in 30th, Libby Hancock in 31st, Breanna Boettcher in 37th, Camden East in 38th, Caroline Kunz in 44th, Cheyenne Gubert in 51st, and Kendal Douthit in 54th place. There were 104 girls racing in the Jr. High Division. The East Bernard Jr. High Boys team finished in 2nd place behind Stockdale Jr. High. Reagan Whitley was the first EB runner to finish in 2nd place, followed by Andrew Dirba in 8th place, Bo Badger in 11th, Carson Little in 13th, Barrett Whitley in 25th, Andrew Schmidt in 26th, Angel Zavalla in 31st, Keith Atkinsson in 34th, Grant Prazak in 40th, Kolby Townsend in 41st, and Ethan Jejsek in 42nd place. There were 99 runners competing in the boys race. Congratulations to all the teams and runners! The Jr. High Boys also placed 1st overall. Way to go Brahmas and Brahmarettes!!!The CC teams will all be competing in the STE Saints and Bellaire Cardinals Invitational at Willow Waterhole next Saturday in Houston. The Varsity Girls will race first starting at 8:30 with the Varsity Boys following at 9:00. The Jr. High Girls will race at 11:30 with the Boys to follow at 12:00.
