The East Bernard J.V. football team opened up their 2015 season with a win over the visiting
Stafford Spartans last night. The Brahmas fought hard and came away with a well-earned 22-7
victory. Scoring for the Brahmas was Locke Rowley with two Touchdowns and a 2-pt
conversion. Zach Gohlke added a Touchdown of his own, and Trevor Bagby ran in the 2-pt
conversion. The defense played great all night, only allowing a touchdown in the last five
minutes of the game. The defense was led by Nick Sebring and Jared Fuechec. Taihrone Nichols
came away with an interception, and De-Leon Perkins had a pass breakup. The J.V.’s season
record is now 1-0. They will be back in action next Thursday, September 3rd at Houston
Christian.
