The Varsity Brahmarettes improved to 6-1 in district play with a convincing win over Boling last night 45-23. Scoring for the Brahmarettes; Kelbi Fortenberry - 10 points; Sabrina Show - 10 points; Kristen Morse - 9 points; Aliska Schmidt - 6 points; Bailey Hlavinka - 5 points; Samantha Show - 3 points; Malynn Plunkett - 1 point; Rebecca Rabius - 1 point. The Brahmarettes will be back in actionFriday January 23rd at district leading Hitchcock. The game is scheduled for 6:15.
JV
The JV Girls Basketball Team defeated
Boling last night to move to 6-0 in District play. The girls led at halftime
25-10. They scored 24 pts. in the second half to win 48-25. Mackenzie
Wilkerson, Corrinna Navarro and Maycie Atteberry all scored 10 pts. each. Also
scoring for the Brahmarrettes: Brooke Polak-5pts., Randi Goates & Jessica
Rabius-4 pts. each, Baylee Jankowski-3 pts., and Sara Berrett-2pts.
The JV Team has an overall record of
15-3. They are open on Friday and will resume District play on Tuesday when
they host Brazos.
Freshmen
The Freshmen girls had a tough game last night falling to El Campo 21-22. Scoring for the Brahmarettes were Emily Dawson-5, Mackensi Muzik-4, Erin Dawson-3, Jillian Hlavinka-3, Kristin Kieler-2, Taylor Swoboda-2, and Blair Berry-2.
The Brahmarettes will be back in action Friday, January 30, at 7:30 in El Campo.
