JH ACADEMIC RODEO SPELLING BEE WINNERS

Five fifth graders and five sixth graders went to the Wharton County Youth Fair on Friday, May 2, 2014 and competed in the Academic Rodeo Spelling Bee.  There were 30 contestants in each grade level competing for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

5th grade winners included: 
Courtney Dickson 1st Place / Valerie Grigar 2nd Place
These two girls battled it out for several rounds finally resulting in going to the 7th and 8th grade words as a tie breaker. The other members of the fifth grade team included Katherine Ellis, Riley Grant, and Chloe Faltysek. Congratulations !!

6th grade winner included:
Ethan Rejsek 2nd place.  He battled it out with another student but came up a little short. The other members of the sixth grade team were Lauren Rieger, Raegan Greak, Lexi Marik and Ryan Morse. Congratulations!!
