Congratulations to the Varsity softball team for beating Van Vleck in five innings.
Randi Goates ended the game with a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 5th. Kelbi Fortenberry hit a home run in the third inning and again in the 5th, with another followed by Sam Show. Several others contributed to our win with Elyssa Delgado, Miranda Lehmann, Alyssa Reyes, Angelica Lopez, and Sloan Carr all hitting doubles. Corrina Navarro had a great defensive play at short stop and Sam Show struck out 13 batters. Overall, it was a great team effort to add another win to our district record which is now 6-2.
The softball girls will play Danbury Friday, April 4th with JV starting at 5, parent’s night following, and Varsity at 6:45.
