The freshmen girls’ basketball team opened up the
Hallettsville tournament on Thursday against Sacred Heart. The girls were
defeated by a score of 30-39. Leading scorer for the Brahmarettes was AJ
Navarro with 12 points. Also scoring were Hadley Carr-8, Baylee Jankowski-6,
Lindsey Matej-2, and McKenize Wilkerson-3. Other key players were Randi Goates,
Calyn Grymes, and Valori Prazak.
In the second game the girls defeated Palacios 39-12.
Leading scorers for the Brahmarettes were Hadley Carr and Lindsey Matej both
with 12. Also scoring were Baylee Jankowski-7, AJ Navarro-6, and Randi
Goates-2. Other key players were McKenzie Wilkerson, Calyn Grymes, and Valori
Prazak.
The girls will play Lagrange
