The East Bernard Brahmarettes matched up with the Schulenburg Shorthorns last night at the Regional Quarterfinals in Columbus. The girls battled the entire night in an intense match, but fell just a little short losing in 4 (25-22, 17-25, 23-25, 22-25). The girls prepared and practice hard. Schulenburg is a good team. We knew it would be a battle and I couldn’t be more proud of the fight my team had until the very end. We have 8 seniors on this team, and we will greatly miss each and every one of them. We are also very grateful for everything they have given the program. They have truly been leaders and raised the bar for all the Brahmarettes to follow.
Kill leaders – Ashley Dusek 14, Rebecca Rabius 8, Kori Slanina 5, Angelica Lopez 4, Miranda Lehmann and Megan Lee 3
Assists – Sloan Carr 31
Aces – Melissa Fajkus 3, Rabius 1
Digs – Dusek 24, Fajkus 12, Carr 10
Blocks – Carr 2 solo, Slanina and Lopez each 1 solo
Thanks to all of those who have supported the girls all year. They notice all of you out there in the stands and truly appreciate you being there, especially their Spike Squad.
