EBHS Freshman and JV Football Results

Yesterday launched the 2018 season for our Freshman Brahmas. The Brahmas took on the Concordia Lutheran Crusaders in Tomball. Unfortunately the game did not end as we would have wished, the final score was a 14-14 tie. Throughout the game our rushing attack was dominant, our offensive line dominated the line of scrimmage. These young men were David Zavala, Samuel Coker, Jonah Kubena, Carson Kubicek, and Raul Contreras. Our general Caleb Magness started his first game in our potent slot-t offense and did a tremendous job running our team, completing 4-5 passes.

The Brahmas were led on the ground by Blake Jedlicka scoring twice and Weston Swoboda. Boone Lee and Mason Winkler each had tremendous catches in the fourth quarter to assist in our comeback. Heading into the fourth quarter the young Brahmas found themselves trailing by 14. A tenacious and an opportunistic defense sparked the fourteen point comeback. The Brahmas stopped the Crusaders on the final play of the third quarter and took the next possession in for a score. A pivotal play with five minutes to play decided the game, the Brahmas stopped the Crusaders on fourth and one from midfield. A wild final possession that included a fourth and long sparked a furious comeback.

The Brahma Defense was led by gritty play from Weston Swoboda, Mason Crist, and Mark Glover. After the Brahmas came up with the equalizer, the Crusaders still had time for a final drive to win. Mason Crist came down with an interception that ended the Crusaders hope for a victory and sealed the tie for the Brahmas.

From the first day till the now our Brahmas have showed tremendous growth and this was almost a perfect way to start our season. Next week the Brahmas will travel to Boiling in search of their first Victory.
