FFA success at Fort Worth Stockshow

The EB FFA Heifer show team rolled back into EB last week about 10:30pm after 5 days of showing at the Fort Worth Stock Show.  13 members attended the event with their breeding beef heifers to exhibit for the judges.  While there, these members learned a lot, worked a lot, and made lots of memories.

Logan Goudeau, the only Senior of the group, competed in the Superintendent's Beef Challenge on Friday evening.  She took a 50 question test over beef cattle knowledge.  After being named as a finalist, Logan and 15 others gave a 2 minute sales talk about their breed.   After the completion of the contest, Logan placed 2nd overall, winning a $10,000 scholarship.

Each member of the show team exhibited their heifers in their respective breed shows.  Results are as follows...

Rylee Vacek - 9th place Charolais
Paige Romero - 15th place Beefmaster
Sydnie Lackey - 2nd in class and Reserve Division Champion Hereford,
Champion Showmanship for the entire Hereford Show
